The 1997 International Workshop on Description Logics (DL'97) continues the tradition of international workshops devoted to discussing developments and applications of knowledge representation formalisms based on Description Logics.

The Workshop will be held on September 27-29, 1997 in Gif sur Yvette, at Centre de Formation du CNRS. Gif sur Yvette is located at 25 kilometers in the south of Paris. Accomodation is possible on site either in Centre de Formation itself or in a hotel (Le Village) in Gif sur Yvette. For those who prefer to stay in Paris, Gif sur Yvette is accessible by train (about 50 minutes from the center of Paris + 10 minutes walk from the station to the location of the workshop).

• The next DL workshop (DL'98) will be held in Trento, Italy, Saturday May 30 - Monday June 1, 1998. DL'98 will immediately precede KR'98 (Sixth International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning) which will be held in Trento, Italy, June 2-5, 1998.
