Event: Joint Conference of the Sixth Chinese Semantic Web Symposium and the First Chinese Web Science Conference
Call for papers
With only a few years, the rapid developing Web has led to revolutionary changes in the whole human society. Nowadays, many scholars and experts are devoting them to the work of applying the Semantic Web theories into specific practice, while in turn improving the Semantic Web standards and technologies according to the demand in practice. The theme of Joint Conference of the Sixth Chinese Semantic Web Symposium (CSWS2012) and the First Chinese Web Science Conference (CWSC2012) is “Web Science and Semantic Web”. Web Science involves full scope of Web-related researches and applications, and it integrates the Web-related interdisciplinary researches into a new field of scientific research. This joint conference aims to promote expansions from the Semantic Web to Web Science, and then to discuss the core technologies of Next Generation Web, such as the Web and swarm intelligence, a new generation of semantic search, semantic and Web security and so on.
Accepted papers will be distributed to conference attendees and also published by Springer, which will be indexed by EI Compendex.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1.Data Management
  Linked  and Open Data
  Smart Knowledge Sharing and Mash-up
  Data Management in Future Web
2.Application Development
  Semantic Web Applications
  Semantic Web and Interdisciplinary Research
3.Computing Services
  Web Scale Computing and Inference
  Semantic Web Search
  Semantic Web Mining
  Semantic Web Services
  Semantic Web and Cloud Computing
4.The Web and Human
Web 2.0 and Social Semantic Web
  Trust and Security
  Semantic and User Interface
  Collective intelligence
  Social network computing
5.Ontology Semantics
  Ontology Learning
  Semantic Annotation
  Ontology Matching and Mapping
  Ontology Reasoning
  Ontology Evolution
  Ontology Evaluation
Submissions to CSWS2012 and CWSC2012 should describe original, significant research on the semantic technologies.
Full paper submissions to CSWS2012 and CWSC2012 are expected to present their claimed contribution, with clear evidence to support their claims. To assess submissions, reviewers will judge their relevance to semantic technologies, their originality, the technical soundness of their proposed approach and the readability of the submission. Submissions of poster/demo papers can be of quite diverse types including but not limited to:
  1.descriptions of ongoing research work,
  2.descriptions of systems,
3."idea papers", raising an interesting question or motivating an interesting line of research without already having solid results,
4.position papers presenting a birds' eye view on some aspect of our domain in the sense of a meta-analysis,
  5.PhD thesis abstracts.
All submissions will be critically reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. Submissions must be in PDF format, using the style of the Springer Publications format for Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Submissions of full papers must be no longer than 12 pages. Submissions of poster/demo papers must be no longer than 6 pages. Submissions that exceed this limit may be rejected without review.
Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication by a journal or another conference while being evaluated for these conference.
All submissions should be submitted via EasyChair at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=SWWS2012
