Papers have been allocated to 4 kinds of sessions: "poster" sessions, "new formal results" sessions, "long presentation" sessions and "working group" sessions. Indications for a "poster" presentation: **************************************** - prepare a short talk and a few slides: you will have 5 minutes and 2 or 3 slides to outline and motivate your work. - prepare a poster in order to present more technical details or results 2X2 meters boards will be available to fix your poster Indications for a "new formal results" presentation: **************************************************** prepare a 10 minutes talk Indications for a "long presentation": ************************************** prepare a 20-25 minutes talk Indications for a presentation within one of the working groups: **************************************************************** The presentation should consist in few slides, illustrating the position and opinions of authors of the paper inside the themes of the working group. We encourage authors to take active part in the proposals and discussions within the group. Because of this, the authors of papers that are presented in working groups are given the faculty of presenting their work also in the poster session, in a more usual manner, for a broader audience. Therefore, authors presenting papers in the working group should: 1. Contact the corresponding working group coordinator, i.e: - Alon Levy (levy@research.att.com) for the "Database/Description Logics" WG, - Ian Horrocks (horrocks@cs.man.ac.uk) for the "Description Logics as a modeling tool for applications" WG, - Francesco Donini and Enrico Franconi (donini@dis.uniroma1.it,franconi@irst.itc.it) for the "Coordinated effort towards an open architecture for KR systems based on DL" to confirm or decline their presentation and participation in the working group; 2. Contact Marie-Christine Rousset (mcr@lri.lri.fr) if they want to present their papers in the poster sesssion. ************************* In any case, every participant to DL'97 is welcome in any of the working groups (s)he is interested in.
